StageXchange platform selected for international pitch competition at the SXSW event hosted by Casa Mexico. Company CEO, Keith A. Hopkins, has also been requested to be a judge at the event.
Austin, Texas -February 27, 2017– SXSW is a massive event that takes place in Austin Texas each year. The event brings together business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs under one roof to promote new technologies, as well as, celebrate the arts. This globally anticipated event has the power to reach millions. Last year its social media reach extended to close to 80 million people across the globe, and with nearly half a million that will attend the event from all over the world; SXSW is a powerhouse for inventors, creators and entrepreneurs. Casa Mexico is a part of the SXSW program that seeks to display Mexico’s status as a global leader in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as a modern country with a vast and diverse culture and traditions.
The Fast Pitch Competition will take place on Friday March 10, 2017 at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center located at 600 River St, Austin, TX 78701. The hosted event will enable over 100 entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a committee, for the chance to win funding for their technology-focused products, enabling expansion into the United States. Judges will be able to score, rank and message contestants within the StageXchange platform. Select entrepreneurs will be invited to showcase their companies within Casa Mexico’s online marketplace available to the public at (https://wwws.stagexchange.com/casamexicosxsw).
StageXchange’s presence at the event was an honor for the company, not only to be selected for use at one of their competitions, but also for their CEO to be chosen as a judge. “We are very excited to have our platform used in such a high profile competition,” says Keith A. Hopkins will be judging the competition alongside a panel selected by Casa Mexico organizers. Contestants will receive mentoring from some of the most well respected individuals in Austin, as well as, potential funding for their expansion.
