StageXchange Embarks on Trade Mission to Mexico

Building on momentum from SXSW, StageXchange heads to Mexico City for Trade Mission.

Naples, Florida -March 26, 2017—Building on the momentum from the Casa Mexico event hosted during the hugely popular South-by-Southwest (SXSW) festival, StageXchange heads to Mexico City this week on a trade mission.

Casa Mexico is a part of the SXSW program that seeks to display Mexico’s status as a global leader in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation.  During SXSW, StageXchange sponsored a Fast Pitch Competition which enabled over 100 entrepreneurs to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges for the chance to win funding for their technology-focused products, enabling expansion into the United States. Learn more about the participating entrepreneurs at the Casa Mexico marketplace by visiting https://wwws.stagexchange.com/casamexicosxsw. The marketplace provides a brief description of the companies and allows visitors to request confidential information.

This trade mission was organized with help from International Trade Administration office, a part of the U.S. Department of Commerce.   CEO, Keith Hopkins, and International Business Development Director, Juan Carlos Taboada, will be meeting with entrepreneurs and investors from SXSW.  Additionally, StageXchange will be attending AMEXCAP’s investment summit (www.AMEXCAP.com) hosted by the Mexican Association of PE and VC funds. AMEXCAP is a non-profit association whose mission is to foster the development of the private equity industry in Mexico. The Association was created in 2003 and currently represents over 100 Private Equity, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Infrastructure funds that actively invest in Mexico and over 50 advisory service companies involved in the areas of corporate law, tax advisory, financial services, and consulting.

AMEXCAP’s members have raised a cumulative $32.0 billion USD over the past fourteen years and have invested in a broad range of sectors such as real estate, media and telecom, wholesale and retail trade, financial services, healthcare, transportation, business services, infrastructure, and manufacturing.
